Dr. Daniel Orellana, DDS
Dr. Daniel Orellana is a specialist in periodontics and prosthodontics with over 30 years of experience in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He earned his DDS from Columbia University and completed advanced training at Montefiore Medical Center. Before that, he graduated from the National University in Mexico City as both a dentist and a specialist in periodontics, running a private practice for eight years.
Dr. Orellana is dedicated to restoring smiles, function, and confidence, providing advanced, evidence-based dental care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

CINDY
FRONT DESK
I’ve been working with Dr. Orellana since 1992, and love that our office is personable, friendly, and helpful. Every patient is treated with compassion and respect and receives the highest quality clinical and customer care. I’m proud to be part of a wonderful dental team!
Cindy’s is the first smiling face that will greet you when you arrive. Working at our front desk, she’ll check you in, update your records, and help you schedule visits. As our Office Manager, we often say Cindy does everything but the actual dentistry! She’s always glad to answer your questions, explain treatment, review financials, and ensure you’re pleased with every detail of your visit. When she’s not in the office, Cindy enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She’s also very involved with her boot camp workout family.
DENNIS
DENTAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT
I love hearing patients talk about how much they love their new smile. Watching someone develop a functional, beautiful smile never grows old! I’ve been part of the team since 2008 and what struck me, the minute I started here, is the warmth and hospitality that greets each patient as they step through the door. I am glad to be part of the behind-the-scenes process of creating a person’s perfect smile!
As our Laboratory Assistant, Dennis works closely with Dr. Orellana on laboratory cases and procedures. He’s attentive to each patient’s comfort and has a great vision for the field of dentistry. Dennis’ kind, upbeat personality sets patients at ease and reassures them they’re in a safe, supportive office.
MELISSA
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
I love getting to know patients and learning who they are. Our conversations form friendships and give me insight into how I can help them achieve their goals. Each patient is unique; I find the best treatment options and teach them how to care for their specific dental concerns. I started working in the dental field in 1996 and found my home here in 2012. It’s a joy to be part of a team working toward the same goal: giving our patients the best dental experience!
As our Registered Dental Hygienist, Melissa works closely with each patient to improve their oral health. She prides herself on patient advocacy and is passionate about teaching patients the best ways to care for their mouth and be in control of their oral health. Melissa knows the connection between oral health and overall wellness and wants her patients to have a healthy body and smile!
Melissa is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. In addition to working in our practice, Melissa also teaches and mentors dental hygiene students as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Bergen Community College’s Dental Hygiene School. In 1999 Melissa received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for Clinical Excellence and in 2016 she was awarded the ADHA/Hu-Friedy Master Clinician Award. When she’s not in the office or at school, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband John and two children.
JACQUI
REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
I love interacting with and building relationships with our patients. It’s a joy to help people I care about regain the ability to smile with real confidence and feel good about themselves. Seeing a patient move from being in pain and having trouble chewing to being pain-free and smiling happily is the best experience! I joined Dr. Orellana and the team in 2015, bringing with me five years of experience in the dental field.
Jacqui, who trained at the Fortis Dental Institute, is one of our dental assistants. In addition to being a Registered Dental Assistant, she has expanded training in dental IV sedation and Basic Life Support/CPR. She works closely with patients during visits, preparing them for their procedure, explaining what will happen, and answering questions. Sitting chairside, Jacqui assists Dr. Orellana while making sure their patient is comfortable. At the end of the visit, she provides home care instructions and makes sure our patient is happy with everything. A newlywed, Jacqui enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon, and their two fur babies, Diseal and Tinsel. The couple enjoys time with loved ones and spending summers at the Jersey Shore.
MELISSA ALT
Dental Hygienist
Melissa Alt is a dental hygienist from Vernon, NJ and lives with her husband, two cats and their dog, Indiana Bones. Melissa got her start in dentistry as an assistant and loved it. After a few years of assisting in general dentistry, endodontics and periodontics, she decided to attend dental hygiene school. Melissa has not looked back since making the switch from traditional dental hygiene to practicing Guided Biofilm Therapy. This has enabled her to practice an elevated level of healthcare helping her patients achieve optimal health from head to toe. Melissa especially enjoys working with patients who are anxious or experience dental phobias and providing them with coping tools and other ways to manage their fears.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys creating, spending time outside with her family and dog, and traveling as much as possible! An avid reader, she’s usually reading 2-3 books simultaneously!
